There are a few methods that can help you increase the range of your automatic gate remote control:

1. ANTENNA

The first way to increase the radio range of your remote control is to install an aerial. This must necessarily have the same frequency as the automatic gate's remote control. Therefore, if for example the remote control is 433 MHz, the antenna must be 433 MHz.

2. ANTENNA POSITION

The antenna must be positioned correctly, usually upwards and outwards, so that it does not encounter too many obstacles.

3. BATTERY

Over time, the battery of the radio gate opener becomes discharged and the range shortens; this happens even if the LED still lights up.

Therefore, when the range of the remote control decreases, it is always a good idea to try changing the battery.

4. ORIGINAL REMOTE CONTROLS

Whenever possible, i.e. when the product is still available, it is always a good idea to use the original spare part and not a compatible one. Original remote controls are designed specifically by the manufacturer for the receiver and will be more resistant and durable.
