E5 clutch plate kit

Clutch plate kit for E5 model of the BFT.

This electromechanical operator with articulated arm is very popular and has the clutch as the part that wears out the most over time. In fact, the discs make up it are of two types, rough and smooth. When rough discs become smooth over time, the clutch can no longer transfer the right force to the leaf and therefore very often cannot move it.

Very important is the grease present in the clutch which must never be missing but must never be excessive.

One last trick is the plastic cover, which you can find in the orange box below, which covers the clutch. If this is broken or missing, the dust and soil can bind to the clutch grease and wear it out faster.

A bolt is provided inside the new clutch that is used to tighten it. The thread of this bolt is covered with a material that is used to prevent it from unscrewing when the motor rotates to open and close the gate. So be careful to fit the new clutch well the first time because removing and replacing this bolt will remove this material from the thread and you could find yourself with this bolt unscrewed over and over again.
